This is a painful statement in a country where busy is a badge of honor. I cringe at commercials that —— how busy children’s lives have to be. We’ve got soccer, and we’ve got ballet, and your children won’t be successful unless we keep their schedule full beyond management and they are stressed, and we are stressed, but we get to tell people we “are so busy.”
Busy, busy, busy.
We got this. We can do what we set our minds to. Individually and collectively.
I love this saying so. I cried the first time I read it, it meant so much. Why do we test the ones we love? Is it so we know they will be there for us when things get hard? I don’t know, but I felt truth in these words.
You know exactly what I mean.
I love this career/life advice. Be up for the challenge, know that it’s going to get hard, but dedicate yourself to something you really care about, something you want to tell your grandkids about. Contribute.

I came across Glennon Doyle Melton’s Ted talk and immediately checked out her books, Carry on Warrior and Love Warrior. Melton’s life has not been easy, and like most of us, she brings a lot of her problems on herself. But she is oh so brave. A true Warrior.
We become good at what we practice continually. Whether it is how we work out or conduct business practices. Choose carefully what you want to excel at. Practice hard, and you will get there.
